The leak has landed!
We all knew it was coming. The PAL version of GTAIV (for 360) has been leaked on to the scene, and spread within hours to torrent sites and bulletin boards. People all over Europe are playing the game illegally, as well as getting banned from XBL because of it (retards). Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good leak. It spices up the hype, and I get to see some Youtube footage of the game that is inevitably going to kill me. But, for the first time, I’m actually against people pirating this game. I can’t wait to hand almost all of my money to Rockstar on Tuesday morning, because they have almost definitely created the greatest videogame of all time. I just find it sad that there are a few people who have downloaded the game, and probably won’t fork over the cash next week. Meh, maybe I’m misjudging. Perhaps they’ll all go out and spend £70 on it as soon as they can. But then again, they probably won’t.
The game looks sodding fantastic, though. Gameplay clips are being put all over the Internet, and each one looks even better than the last. Maybe I have my hype goggles on, but the lighting effects on this game look to be at near-Crysis level, with just the right amount of shiny stuff. They haven’t just decided to make everything plastic, with a sun 30 times as bright as it should be (Epic and Bungie, I’m looking at you). And some of the animations look brilliant. On one video, Niko carjacks a convertible by hopping over the door into the passenger seat, and pushing the driver out from there
Fuck, I don’t know if I can wait another 6 days.
